We have been very active with sessions involving legislators’ late summer and early fall. It started with mayoral candidate and current Syracuse Deputy Mayor, Sharon Owens, meeting with the city dealers. She won the race with over 70 percent of the vote and will take over as Mayor of the city of Syracuse after the first of the year. Current Mayor Ben Walsh has been terrific with the S.A.D.A. especially with police involvement with the dealers and helping to secure more police surveillance cameras for areas near dealerships. The West Genesee Street dealerships have had the police surveillance cameras for quite a few years and now they will be installed on Erield Blvd. East and Burnet Ave. We are confident that Mayor Elect Sharon Owens will be a good advocates for businesses and will meet with our members as needed.
